Nuri HAS, 1st Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees

Nuri Has was born in Istanbul in 1972.

He completed his primary education at İlhami Ahmet Örnekal Primary School in Istanbul and his secondary education at Private Kalamış High School. Mr. Has studied undergraduate and business administration at Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.) and The American University (Washington, D.C.) in the United States and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Kadir Has University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Nuri Has started his professional career at Has Otomotiv Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. in 1994 and was appointed General Manager of this organization in 2003 and Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2007. As of 18.03.2023, he has been serving as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of this organization.

Nuri Has, who has been working at Kadir Has Foundation, founded in 1991, since 1996, was elected as a Member of the Board of Trustees in 1999 after serving as Assistant Foundation Manager and Foundation Manager, respectively. Nuri Has, who served as the President of Kadir Has Foundation between 01.07.2019-01.07.2023, has assumed the position of 1st Vice President of Kadir Has Foundation as of 01.07.2023.

Can Has was born in Istanbul in 1954.

In 1972, he graduated from FMV Private Işık High School. In 1973, he studied German at the Goethe Institut in Freiburg, Germany for eight months. He then graduated from Johannes Kepler Universitat, Linz, Austria. (14.01.1981)

In 1982, he served as Assistant General Manager at Has Otomotiv Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş., as Board Member at Otomarsan Otobüs ve Motorlu Araçlar Sanayi A.Ş., now Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş., between 1983 and 1986, and as Board Member at Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Peugeot) and Karsan Pazarlama A.Ş. between 1984 and 1991. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Has Otomotiv Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş.

Between 01.07.2019-01.07.2023, he served as the Chairman of Kadir Has University Board of Trustees and Vice Chairman of Kadir Has Foundation. Since 01.07.2023, he has been serving as the Chairman of Kadir Has Foundation and Vice Chairman of Kadir Has University Board of Trustees.

Av. M. Gün Han BAŞİK, General Manager

Gün Han Basik was born in Istanbul.

He received his Secondary and High School Education at FMV Işık High School. He received his Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B.) at the Law Faculty of Istanbul University and his Master’s degree With Thesis in Business Administration (M.A.) at the Graduate School of Social Sciences of Istanbul University.

He worked at the İstanbul Turkey Branch Offices of HBU Holantse Bank Uni (later ABN AMRO/RBS) in the Department of Foreign Affairs (1979-80).

He completed his internship and has been admitted to Istanbul Bar Association (1983) (Istanbul Bar Association Reg. No. :12849 - Union of Turkish Bar Associations Reg. No: 15899). He served in various law offices. He has worked as a freelance lawyer since 1985.

He has given Business Law lectures as Instructor at the Department of Electronics Engineering in English, Faculty of Engineering, Istanbul University (1991-1998). He has given Business Law, Introduction to Law and Corporate Law lectures as Instructor at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Işık University (1999-2006)

Between 1990-2016, he served as a Board Member of Feyziye Schools Foundation, the founder of FMV Işık Schools and FMV Işık University, for the twenty-six years without interruption. During this period, he served as General Secretary of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee Member of Feyziye Schools Foundation between 1990-1997. He also served as the General Manager of Feyziye Schools Foundation between 1991-1992.

He contributed in the foundation of FMV Işık University and was the Coordinator of the Şile Campus Project in the allocation and construction stages of the Şile Campus of FMV Işık University. Between 16.07.1996 and 01.09.1998 he served as the Member of the Founding Board of Trustees of Işık University, and between 01.08.2006-01.08.2010, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Işık University. He is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Honorary Board of Feyziye Schools Foundation.

He served in Baker Tilly Güreli Consultants as Managing Partner (Legal) between 1998-2008.

Between 2008-2023, he served as the General Manager, Member of the Board of Directors and of the Trustees of Kadir Has Foundation, the founder of Kadir Has University. As of January 2024, he continues to be a Member of the Board of Directors and of the Trustees of Kadir Has Foundation. He is married with two children.

At TÜSEV Third Sector Foundation of Turkey, he served as a Member of the Board of Directors (1999-2002), Chairman of the Board of Auditors (2002-2016) and Member of the Board of Representatives (Board of Directors) (2016-2023).

He is a Member of the Board of Trustees of Tema Foundation, Fenerbahçe Sports Club, TMPK National Paralympic Committee of Turkey, IÜHFMD-Alumni Association of the Istanbul University Faculty of Law.

He served in FID Feyziyeliler Işıklılar Alumni Association Board of Directors between 1977-1992 for 15 consecutive years and was appointed as the Chairman of Board of Directors in 1977-1978, 1978-1979,1979-1980- 1989-1990, 1991-1992 periods.

Ahmet Emre BETİN, (Board Member) Academic Affairs
Born in İstanbul on 24.12.1945. He received his education at Italian Commercial College and Management Department of Anadolu University. He was the Asistant Manager of Press and Public Relations, Manager of Advertising and Vice President of Public Relations at Turkish Airlines. He was the Country Manager of Turkish Airlines at Milano, Roma, KTHY Europe, Abu Dhabi, Poland, Geneva, Check Republic. He retired in 2003 after 36 years of service at Turkish Airlines. Av. Dr. Levent BIÇAKÇI

Dr. Levent Bıçakcı was born in Ankara in 1953. He attended the Istanbul Boys’ High School from 1965 to1972 where the language of education is German. He then attended Istanbul University and graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1976.

From 1976 to 1984 he worked as a teaching/research assistant in the Common Law department of the Faculty of Law, Istanbul University. During this period he spent a year in Germany on a DAAD scholarship where he carried out research towards his Ph.D. He received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Law, Istanbul University in 1984.

He was a member of the FIBA Legal Commission from 1998-2006, a board member of the Turkish Basketball Federation in 1998-2002 and Head of the Turkish Football Federation in 2004-2005.

Currently, Dr Bıçakcı is the Director of the Bıçakcı Law Bureau, a member of the UEFA Arbitration Board, a member of the Kadir Has University Board of Trustees, a board member of the Turkish Football Federation, a board member of the Galatasaray Sports Club, a board member and member of the Board of Trustees of Turkish Football Foundation and a member of the board of Trustees of Istanbul Istanbul Boys’ High School.

Rezan HAS

Mrs. Rezan Has, the wife of Mr. Kadir Has, one of the most important businessmen of Turkey and a great charitable donor, was born in Istanbul in 1927. She was born as the second child of Şehime Hanım, who is the daughter of Yagcizade Family in Kanlıca, Istanbul and Mr. Mehmet of Germirli Family, a well known family in Kayseri.

Rezan Germirli, lived most of her childhood both in Kanlıca, Istanbul and in Germir village, Kayseri. Rezan Germirli, the second child of five siblings, finished her elementary education in Kayseri. Then she went to Istanbul Kandilli Girl’s High School. She married to Kadir Has, the son of Nuri and Zekiye Has, in 1942.

Rezan and Kadir Has lived in Adana between 1942 -1960. Meanwhile Rezan Has supported her husband Kadir Has, who started to work at his young age, during his worklife. Has Family decided to move to Istanbul after 1960. Has Family announced their nephew Mete Has’ daughter Zekiye their foster child because they did not have any children.

Kadir Has started to do charity work following his father’s ideals after 1980. Rezan Has has always been a support to her husband in his charity work. Has Family built numerous education and health institutions in Istanbul and Kayseri during 1980’s for the Turkish people.

Kadir – Rezan Has couple continued their charity work by building Kadir Has Foundation in the following years. Meanwhile Kadir Has University, which was built in Istanbul, crowned the charity works of the family.

    Dr. Taner Arsan was born in 1968 in Erzincan.

    He attended Kabataş High School in Istanbul, and then he graduated with Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in 1990.

    He received his Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from Control and Computer Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University in 1994.
